For texture, I layered two banners on the mantel. The first I made out of fabric scraps I already had on hand from the “Fabric Flower Phase” that I went through when I first had my daughter. The second banner I made with white and pastel colored card stock, using my silhouette machine.
Easter Mantel Styling
After Christmas, Spring/Easter is definitely my favorite time of year to decorate. (Steph and I are very much alike here – you’ll see there’s no shortage of Spring/Easter decorating posts. And more still to come!)
I’m going to keep this post lighter on text and heavier on pictures. If you have specific questions, please don’t hesitate to ask in the comments section below.
My biggest challenge when decorating is the giant TV that hangs above our fireplace (a battle I lost – but fought valiantly – against my husband). Eventually I’ll figure out a solution to hide the eyesore, but for now I just decorate around it.
You may recognize the Spring Blossom Bursts (made from Baby’s Breath) from a previous post. The large Easter eggs were purchased at Michael’s (40% off right now). The lilies came from our neighborhood grocery store and the ceramic bunny I’ve had for years.
These glass candle holders I picked up from CB2 years ago. At Christmas time, I float cranberries in them, at Halloween I put the spooky-colored M&Ms in them. They’re super versatile.
I actually picked up the pink and yellow floral sprays at the Dollar Store. I used four in this demijohn vase that I found earlier this year at Hobby Lobby.
That’s it for now! Happy Decorating!!
